Kulturalia 2012
Kulturalia 2012 is a series of events that are meant to acquaint citizens of Łódź with cultures of various nations- Polish in February, Russian in March and Jewish in June. The first Kulturalia this year will take place between the 18th and 21st of February, commencing with Polish Culture Days .Kulturalia is an idea of encouraging the inhabitans to learn about both the multicultural history of Łódź and other cultures. In the organizers’ purpose, the event is to draw on the Łódź of Four Cultures Festival. All workshops offered by Center of Dialogue are free of charge. Kulturalia will start with a movie marathon- films, the scenes from which were also shot in our city (‘Vabank’, ‘Vabank II’), will be shown. Afterwards, a photo-walk ‘Down Polish tracks around Łódź’ awaits visitors as wel as culinary worshops and a debate on jargon in Lodz. The highlight of Kulturalia will be a costume party with a performance of Gęsty Kożuch Kurzu band.
