Cirque du Soleil for the first time in Poland!
The legendary Circus of the Sun- the only circus of its kind in the world will perform at Ergo Arena! Performances are scheduled for 19-22nd of January. We are in for a treat! In a few days, the most famous circus troupe in the world will appear at Ergo Arena. It is not a typical, everyday circus but rather a kind of show bordering on theater, ballet and music.
Those interested in seeing Cirque du Soleil performing live may purchase tickets at Ticketpro (www.ticketpro.pl), the Alter Art shop as well as Ergo Arena. The prices are as follows: 125, 190 and 250 zl for adults and 100, 150 and 200 zl for children.
Cirque du Soleil, CdS (French: Circus of the Sun)- a group of artists established by Guy Laliberté, an acrobat and fire-eater, in 1984. The group stages circus performances as well as tours the world, erecting tents that present their works- a combination of circus skills elements (acrobatics, juggling etc.)with various gmusical genres (from classical music to rock), vivid costumes, light and special effects. Their shows have been watched by 100 mln people worldwide.
CdS consists of artists who come from all part of the world. 5 thousand people are employed, including some 
Poles. The group’s headquarters is located in Montreal, Canada. Training-workshop centers where subsequent shows are prepared are also located there. Apart from presenting their shows, Cirque du Soleil has also released a DVD containing these, numerous music CDs and a feature film (‘Alegria, the Movie’) and an immersive video (most commonly known as ‘Journey of Man’.
I have been to a Cirque du Soleil a few years ago in Orlando. It has been the single best performance that I have seen in my life. The business aspects of CdS activity need to be discussed further.
