‘Park of Poland’- the new biggest project in Europe- officially announced at a conference held by the Ministry of Economy

On the 7th December, at a conference held by the Ministry of Economy devoted to the creation of a Special Economic Activity Zone in the western Mazowsze region, it has been officially announced that ‘Park of Poland’ theme park is to be built.The biggest amusement park in this part of Europe will be created halfway between Lodz nad Warsaw. Apart from a 160m-high roallercoaster, the park will also feature a science center, a business conference  center, a theme park, a water park, hotels and shops.

Mayors of three communes: Mszczonow, Radziejowice i Puszcza Marianska have signed a letter of intent with Moshe ‘Mooky’ Greidinger, the main shareholder of Global Park of Poland which assumes that the area of their Economic Activity Zone will host Global Park of Poland.

Construction works will begin in early 2013, whereas the park will start operating after a 2,5-year period. The investment in the park till 2016 will reach 3,18 million zl and 3,8 mln zl till the end of 2020. The total cost of the undertaking is estimated at 0,5 mln euro! The investment will be funded by Polish and foreign investment funds as well as private investors. Park of Poland will attract further investments in the area. 3,200 ha of terrain has been devoted to tourist services, commerce and entertainment.

Permanent transport connections with Warsaw and Lodz are to be established for the needs of the park, which will also have its five own drafts of train that will bring visitors from various parts of East-Central Europe. Plans for the park will transpire in the second half of the next year. These will be prepared by a Canadian company ‘Forrec’, which designed Legoland, among others.

It is estimated that Park of Poland will be visited by 4 mln people annually. 2.000 vacancies are to be created in the Economic Activity Zone.
